Maria Redanty joined Licking Heights Local Schools in 2014 as High School Assistant Principal before coming to Central Middle School as Assistant Principal. Her administrative career includes positions as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Southern Cayuga Central Schools, for grades 7-12. Ms. Redanty has also served as the Interim Coordinator of Physical Education/Adapted Physical Education and Health for Monroe #1 BOCES in Monroe County, New York.
Ms. Redanty began her teaching career at Columbus Public Schools in 2001. In 2003, Ms. Redanty moved back to New York where she continued teaching physical education, adapted physical education and health for nine years. She has more than a decade of coaching experience for various male and female sports at all levels.
Ms. Redanty earned her undergraduate degree at Cortland State University, in Cortland, New York. Ms. Redanty also holds her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from St. John Fisher College, as well as additional graduate work from The Ohio State University. She is a member of the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators, and has specific experience working with students with special needs. Her experience working with students from urban, suburban, and rural communities has helped with establishing positive relationships with students.
