Sandra Phillips joined Licking Heights Local Schools in 2018 as Assistant Principal at North Elementary. Her administrative career began with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District as the Academic Facilitator and Assistant Principal at Albemarle Road Middle School. Ms. Phillips moved to Columbus in 2015 and became the Assistant Principal at Cesar Chavez College Preparatory School.
Ms. Phillips began her teaching career in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1992 as an eighth grade math teacher at Gayle Middle School. During her teaching career she taught in Virginia, California, South Carolina and North Carolina. Middle school mathematics was her content of focus.
Ms. Phillips earned her undergraduate degree at Cortland State University, in Cortland, New York. Ms. Phillips also holds her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Gardner- Webb University in Belmont, North Carolina. Ms. Phillips is excited to work with Licking Heights Local Schools where she can use her knowledge and experience to build relationships with all stakeholders invested in the education of the students within the community.
