WELCOME!!
The classes I teach this year are Trigonometry/Statistics and Honors Algebra II.
Trigonometry/Statistics - Both of these classes are semester classes with Trigonometry offered in the fall semester and Statistics offered during the spring semester. In the trigonometry class we will study radian and degree measure, the unit circle, right triangle trigonometry, trigonometric functions and graphs, applications and models, fundamental identities, law of sines and cosines, vectors in the plane, and vectors and dot product.
Honors Algebra II - This class is primary enrolled by sophomores and juniors. Honors Algebra II takes the concepts from Algebra I and Geometry and expands on them as well as learning new concepts. This includes Probability, Statistics, Linear Functions, Quadratic Functions, Absolute Value Functions, Exponential and Logarithmic Functions, Radical and Rational Expressions, Sequences and Series, analyzing graphs of all kinds, and applying concepts to real-world situations. In addition, the Honors Algebra II students learn Conic Sections, Introduction to Matrices, and Trigonometry. Students use a computer-based program to assist in homework assignments. One goal is to prepare students for either Honors Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or AP Calculus.
