About Mrs. Carper:
Since 2006, I have been teaching Language Arts at Licking Heights. This past year I have had the opportunity to move to 4th grade at West. I am throughly excited about the change of grade levels to teach ELA and Science. I knot this year will provide me with the amazing teaching experience where I can share my enjoyment of reading along with inspiring students' creativity in their writing.
My love for teaching started many years before I actually became a teacher. It started with "playing school" with my little sister. My passions continued by volunteering in high school for opportunities to help out in elementary classrooms. I continued my path of becoming a teacher by graduating from Heidelberg college in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Middle School Education. Since then I have earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University.
Outside of school my life has become very busy with being blessed with my two girls, Grace & Aubrey. My after school hours are spend, running the girls to various activities, making crafts, playing dress-up, and playing outdoors. I love spending time with my family, riding horses with my girls and my sister, and taking a run when time allows.
I have the best job in the world being able to spend my days with kids and inspiring my students towards academic growth throughout the school year.
