Reminders for Central and SchoolsPLP

We are excited to kick-off the new year and are eager to get to know your student(s). Schedules for your intermediate school student were revised to reflect your choice for your child between all virtual and hybrid.  Students will be expected to follow their daily schedule. Teachers will continue to give more information about the structure of individual courses. Students are expected to join each class based on their schedule.

If students need help with remembering their passwords and account information for ProgressBook, please have them email Mrs. Kari Antauer or Mrs. Whitney Smith. Please note that students will not have access to their schedules if their EMA forms have not been completed by their parents or guardian.

To log into SchoolsPLP:
Username: Student’s school email address
Password: Student ID number (this is your lunch number)

Here are video resources to help you if needed:

Communication will be key to a successful school year. If your student is experiencing difficulties in any way, please make sure they are communicating with their teacher. It is good to be proactive when situations arise. Students will be able to send and receive messages from their teachers on the SchoolsPLP website, this will be the easiest way to communicate with the teachers outside of the assigned class period.

Attendance: Students will be expected to attend all classes daily based on their assigned schedule (synchronous learning). If a student is unable to attend a class and must work independently at a different time than their scheduled class (asynchronous learning), immediate communication with the teacher is expected. This year student attendance is tied to student engagement, so being present and active in the courses will be essential to student success.

School Fees:
All academic school fees have been suspended for 2020-2021 school year. This does not include fees related to band (if applicable).

Suggested Supplies: School Supplies

Student Work Space:
Please ensure that your student has a space to work free of distractions. This will be important for structure and the ability to focus on coursework. Students should be appropriately dressed for all Zoom sessions and ready to contribute to the class with a fully charged device (Chromebook, computer, etc.).

Grading:
All students will be following our standard letter grade system.

We look forward to partnering with you and your student as we focus on a successful 2020-2021 school year.
