West supports Pennies for Patients
Mr. Shipton riding a unicycle
Licking Heights West recently completed a successful fundraising drive for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients program. The school community raised $10,262.00 - surpassing their initial goal of $10,000!

West Elementary is very proud of our students and staff for working so hard and helping others. As an incentive, Mr. Michael Shipton, assistant principal, rode a unicycle down the main hallway. This task was very difficult for Mr. Shipton, and very entertaining for our students.

This was the building’s tenth year working with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the world’s largest non-profit health organization dedicated to finding cures for blood cancers. Pennies for Patients is for elementary and middle schools that would like to support the mission to create a world without cancer by conducting a fundraising campaign.
