Licking Heights High School senior Lily Callander was named an Outstanding Young Woman of the Year by the Zonta Club of Columbus. She was recognized in March at a reception as one of 12 honorees, based on her academic achievements and awards, community service, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation and three essays.
Each year, over 100 Central Ohio high schools are invited to submit a nominee from their school to participate in a leadership forum in February and to be considered as one of the 12 Outstanding Young Women of Central Ohio.
The Zonta Club of Columbus is the local chapter of one of the largest women's service organization in the world, and is committed to making a difference in the lives of exceptional women students.
