LHHS senior named to OMEA All-State Band
Corbin RussLicking Heights High School senior Corbin Russ was accepted into the 2020 Ohio Music Education Association’s All-State Band.
 
Through a blind audition process, Corbin was selected as one of the top musicians in the State of Ohio. In Jan. 2020, he will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to perform at the 2020 OMEA Music Education Professional Conference.  Corbin, a lifelong hornet who plays the French horn and piano, is the first LHHS student selected for an all-state ensemble in several years. 

Corbin has participated in his school's many music ensembles, including the Licking Heights Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and Advanced Choir. In addition to his musical involvement at his high school, Corbin is also a member of the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra, is an alumni from Junior Winds and the Cadet Orchestra, and has participated in various high school honors bands (including the Capital, OMEA District X, and Ohio State Honors bands). Along with his musical career, Corbin has a rigorous academic courseload and maintains a 4.335 GPA. He plans to major in music education next fall.
