LHHS basketball team makes blankets for patients with cancer
LHHS girls basketball team

Members of the lady hornets basketball team gathered before Thanksgiving to craft 50 fleece blankets for patients at the James Cancer Hospital. These items are provided to those undergoing treatment.

New coach Rebecca Bailey serves as a Next Gen James Ambassador, and this opportunity to serve arose through her involvement. The expanded ambasador engagement team helps tomorrow’s leaders get involved and make a difference in the fight against cancer.

“It’s important for our girls to give back to the community whenever they can,” Bailey said. “These  blankets go in new patient care packages, making their stay a little easier.”
