Do you have a student who will be 5 years old by September 30, 2025 and lives here in the Licking Heights Local School district? If so, they are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year.

Kindergarten pre-registration for the 2025-26 school year is now live on the district website. Click HERE to complete pre-registration. See instructions below for students who are currently enrolled at Pathfinders Preschool and those who are not. Please note that preregistration for students in grades 1-12 will open on April 1, 2025.

Step 1: Pre-register online by clicking above.

Step 2: Email all required documents to [email protected]. This includes:

—Birth certificate

—Immunization records

—Parent’s ID (both parents)

—Mortgage/lease/notarized Residency Agreement

—Utility bills

—Custody documents, if applicable

Step 3: Sign your student up for Kindergarten Screening. Please note that students MUST complete screening at the school where they will attend in the 2025-2026 school year.

NOTE: Current Pathfinders Preschool students will complete screening during their school day.

Step 4: After July 1, 2025, parents/guardians will need to log into PowerSchool and complete the Emergency Medical Authorization (EMA) forms which are located under “Forms” on the left hand side. Click on “Enrollment.” The EMA tabs will then be visible. These tabs/forms MUST be completed before the first day of school.

Step 1: If the student is a current preschool student, parents/guardians will only need to provide residency documents if they are on a lease and it expires before school starts or if the family is on a Residency Agreement with the district. Parents/guardians with a new lease must submit an updated lease and utility bill, and families on a Residency Agreement must submit a new notarized RA and a utility bill from the owner and parent. For all other students currently enrolled at Pathfinders Preschool, all enrollment documents submitted when a student was enrolled at Pathfinders Preschool will follow them to kindergarten.

Step 2: Current Pathfinders Preschool students will complete academic screening during their school day.

Step 3: After July 1, 2025, parents/guardians will need to log into PowerSchool and complete the Emergency Medical Authorization (EMA) forms which are located under “Forms” on the left hand side. Click on “Enrollment.” The EMA tabs will then be visible. Tab F, the transportation form under New Student Forms, will also need to be completed. These tabs/forms MUST be completed before the first day of school or the student will not be permitted to attend school until all forms are completed.

Screenings will happen on the following dates and locations:

—Friday, April 11: 9 am to 3:30 pm at Lima Ridge Elementary, 3693 Summit Road SW Pataskala, OH 43062

—Monday, April 21: 9 am to 3:30 pm at Broad Peak Elementary, 6623 Summit Road Pataskala, OH 43062

—Friday, May 2: 9 am to 3:30 pm at Everest Elementary, 1490 Climbing Fig Blacklick, OH 43004

During appointments, students will complete the following activities:

—Academic screening 

—Tour a school bus

—Walk through their elementary school

—Meet Food Services staff

—Staff will be available to assist families with completing required enrollment and annual student forms

—Please plan to bring your student with you to the appointment for the screening. Students only need to complete screening once.
