Public schools are not just places of education–they are partnerships between students, families, and the supportive surrounding community. We know our students–and their families–could not succeed without the essential services of our local community here in Licking County, Franklin County, and Central Ohio.
As such, we are pleased to announce our new
Resource Hub for families on the district website. The Resource Hub is a growing list of community agencies, organizations, and offices that provide essential social services and support for our students and families. We thank our social workers, Brittany Morgan and Jayshree Murali, and our Pupil Services department for their work to develop these connections and compile this list.
Resources are available for needs like:
—Affordable housing and homelessness services
—Food pantries and community meals
—Mental and behavioral health services and suicide prevention
—Legal aid and assistance
—Immigration services and support for New Americans
—Financial support and assistance
—Career preparation
—English Language classes
—Educational resources like FREE kindergarten prep and homework help
—Healthcare
—Support for LGBTQ+ youth
—And more!
If you are in need of any resource included on this list, all websites are directly linked. Simply click the organization’s name to go to their homepage and find necessary contact information. If you know of any families in our district who require these resources, we need your help! Please share our online Hub with them so they can see everything available.
Finally, if you know of any local community agencies that serve our students and are not currently listed in the Hub, please contact Anna L. Davies at
[email protected] and let her know what can be added.
We appreciate everyone who uplifts, supports, and serves our students and families. THANK YOU for your kindness.
