Frequently Asked Questions: On the Ballot for a New High School
The district's Board of Education is asking voters to consider a 2.86-mill bond issue to alleviate overcrowding with the construction of a new building. About 50 percent of the cost for new high school in Licking Heights would be paid for by the state of Ohio if a local issue is passed at the polls on Aug. 5, 2014. If passed, it would cost about $99 per year per $100,000 of assessed property value. All-day kindergarten would also be available beginning this fall for the 2014-15 school year.
