Thanks to a partnership between Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) and our district, students, staff, and community members can access necessary health care right at the high school. LMHS has provided the financial and staffing investments needed to create a secure Health Center inside the school. Students from preschool to 12th grade can receive treatment with parent permission. Licking Heights staff, families of students, and community members also may receive care at the Licking Memorial Health Center.
The Health Center is located at Licking Heights High School, 4101 Summit Rd., Pataskala, OH 43062. A wide variety of insurance plans are accepted, including Medicare and Medicaid. Schedule an appointment by calling (220) 564-7830. Same-day appointments are usually available, but please note that our students and staff take priority in scheduling.

Services Offered
Health services at the Licking Memorial Health Center at Licking Heights focus on preventative care and include treatment for common illnesses. Mental health services provided by Behavioral Health Partners of Central Ohio are also offered in the Health Center. Services particularly useful to students include athletic physicals and required vaccinations for school.
The Licking Memorial Health Center at Licking Heights is inside a void storage area in the high school. There is no cost to the district as LMHS financed the project and provided all necessary staff. The Health Center does not replace school-based health clinics or school nursing staff, but works cooperatively with them to handle basic diagnostic and treatment needs.
Safety Measures at the Health Center
For the wellbeing of all students, staff, and community members, the Health Center strictly adheres to these required safety practices:
—Each external patient must be admitted into the Health Center through a secure, locked door
—Each external patient is required to scan their driver's license with Raptor, the district’s instant background check system, immediately upon arrival for their appointment
—Only Licking Heights students and staff have access to the school – no community members can access the high school through the Health Center
—Only students and staff can enter the Health Center through the internal school entrance, and they must be admitted by Health Center staff
—Students, staff, and community members will be treated in separate, designated sides and rooms of the Health Center
—Health Center staff follow all school drills and procedures – for example, if the high school has a fire drill, Health Center staff follow Licking Heights procedures for the fire drill.
