If your child is 5 years old by September 30 and lives in the Licking Heights Local School District, they are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Kindergarten screening is mandatory to determine your student's readiness for school.

This year, we will have two additional kindergarten screening sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 1 and Aug. 2 at Everest Elementary, 1490 Climbing Fig Dr.

Appointments only take about 30 minutes and consist of a brief academic screener. Students will work one-on-one with a teacher and will answer questions about numbers, letters, colors, and do a series of basic fine motor activities.

Tour the Athletic Complex between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. or 7:45 and 8:30 p.m. The Licking Heights Marching Hornets will preview their 2024-25 halftime show at 7:00 p.m.

Join Licking Heights Middle School for a back to school bash block party on  Aug. 7 from 4–7 p.m.! This will serve as the middle school's open house for the 2024-25 school year.
