Mrs. Daniels is very excited to be teaching, guiding and working with your First Grader this year! Mrs. Daniels joined Licking Heights in 2010 after 15 years teaching experience. In her third year at Licking Heights, she was a Leaders in Learning award winner for Licking County.
She previously taught Kindergarten for 15 years and this is her fourth year in first grade. During her Kindergarten experience, she was a Kindergarten Curriculum Director for 7 years for a private school while staying home with her children. As a Kindergarten Curriculum Director she mentored teachers and developed and facilitated curriculum and assessments for all buildings. She is excited and enthusiastic to be working together with first graders and their families to learn and grow through enriching, educational experiences - and creating wonderful school memories!
Mrs. Daniels earned her undergraduate degrees in Early and Elementary Education from Miami University of Ohio. She recently completed a Master's degree program in Curriculum and Instruction at American College of Education.
Mrs. and Mr. Daniels have been happily married for 18 years and they have two children, Kyle 13, and Meagan, 11. Kyle is beginning high school this year and is active in the Westerville North Marching Band. Meagan is starting middle school this year and is beginning band and choir at school and plays soccer for Westerville. Mrs. Daniels loves spending time with her family, and she feels that becoming a mother enriched her beliefs that all children have the potential to learn and shine in their special way through love and encouragement.
It is important to her to build strong and positive relationships with her students and their families to create a solid foundation for students to begin their school success.
She is looking forward to getting to know what motivates and inspires your child to help them reach their full potential and to build their school confidence and success!
