Congratulations to D.J. Fillmore, Licking Heights High School Class of 2023 and The Ohio State University Track and Field signee, for defending his state title in the long jump at the OHSAA 2023 State Track Meet!

D.J., along with four other Licking Heights track athletes, qualified for the state meet at Jesse Owens Stadium on June 3-4, 2023. D.J. competed in the long jump and 200 meter sprint, and participated in the 400 meter relay team with teammates Jalynn Fillmore, Similoluwa Jaf-ogunlayi and Samolu Cooper. Alex Amartey competed in discus.

In the long jump, D.J. achieved his personal best of 25-feet-0.25. In the 200 meter sprint, he ran 20.80 for the win.
