Thank you for your patience while we determined our plans for the Monday, April 8 solar eclipse. Our district leadership team and Board of Education carefully considered each available option for this day, and we appreciate your support.
Per the recommendation of the Licking County Emergency Management leadership team, we have decided to cancel school on Monday, April 8, 2024. There will be NO SCHOOL for Licking Heights students PreK-12. Classes will resume as usual on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
The district has ordered 6,000 pairs of eclipse glasses to provide for all students and staff members. These will be handed out to students in the days leading up to the eclipse. Our Curriculum team is also working with educational partners to provide lesson suggestions, ideas, and resources for teachers to prepare students for the eclipse.
We thank you for your continued support of Licking Heights.
