We are piloting a new behavior management approach this school year. Instead of the clip chart, we will be using golden tickets (aka construction paper strips). Children will earn tickets similarly to clipping up on the chart- following directions quickly, helping a friend, quiet in the hall... The children will help make a list of things that earn a golden ticket. In the beginning, a minimum number of tickets will be required for a treat at the end of the week. (We will make sure the minimum number is lower than the lowest ticket earner.) As we all get used to using these, teachers included, the children will choose their Fun Friday Center based on their number of tickets. We are one of two classes piloting the program, so please bare with us as we figure it out.
