After a year of hard work and collaboration, Licking Heights Local Schools is proud to unveil our new Strategic Plan—a dynamic blueprint designed to guide our district’s journey toward excellence and ensure every student has the opportunity to "Go Higher."

Strategic Plan Goals

The plan focuses on four ambitious goals:

Student Success: Ignite a passion for learning, provide pathways for success, and use resources that enhance the student experience.
Human Capital: Cultivate an environment where every faculty and staff member can flourish and grow.
Resource Management: Secure the necessary funds for our educational initiatives while minimizing the financial burden on local taxpayers.
Community Engagement: Enhance the family experience by offering meaningful opportunities and developing user-friendly digital tools.

Process Overview

September 2023

Full Discovery Team–which included 50+ diverse staff members, community leaders, and parents–meets for two-day exploratory session

October-November 2023

Twenty-eight different Focus Groups conducted with staff (certified/classified), students, admins, diverse populations, and families

November-December 2023

Surveys sent to staff (certified/classified), students, and families. Nearly 2,000 responses collected, compiled, and analyzed in total

January 2024

Leadership Team meets for two-day strategic planning session to develop Pillars of Success based on staff/student/family feedback

March 2024

Leadership Team meets to develop strategic plan draft, Pictures of Success, and a new mission statement

April 2024

Discovery Team reconvenes to approve and finalize draft strategic plan

June 2024

Leadership Team meets to operationalize strategic plan and develop goals and action items over the next five years
