ETSS’ mission is to be the focal point of integration for immigrants, refugee families, and low-income individuals in Central Ohio in order to improve their lives, to facilitate their immigration through education, training, supportive services, and self-development opportunities, and to increase the awareness of their culture and heritage in Central Ohio. ETSS has been providing OST (Out-of-School-Time) program, including Afterschool Program, for over 10 years. Some program highlights:
- Closed program: Enroll and serve same 50 students through the program period
- Three in-person contact days (total of 10 hours) of service per week
- Follows school districts calendar
- 1:10 tutor-student ratio
- 5th-6th Graders
- TANF Eligibility
- Staffing includes: Site coordinator, Bilingual Assistant, 1 tutor per 10 students
Program Activities include: Homework Assistance and other academic support, Social Emotional Learning, STEAM, Cultural Enrichment, Health and Nutrition, Educational Field Trip, Parents Engagement and more.
