Hello!
My name is Mrs. Schrader and I am looking forward to having you in my Honors geometry
class next year. This summer I would like you to become familiar with the vocabulary and
formulas we will be using all year. Here is a breakdown of what you need to do:
- Join our google classroom (do this ASAP)
- Complete the vocabulary definitions and example/picture (feel free to use the internet)
- Complete the Quizlet (learn, write, spell, test, match)
- Complete the Khan Academy videos/ assignments
- Practice writing the formulas (without looking)
- Be prepared for a quiz on vocab/ formulas the first week of school
SUPPLY LIST
- Calculator! I use the TI-30XIIS (and oftentimes refer to this calculator as when I am giving directions in class) but you are welcome to use any scientific calculator OR graphing calculator. Whatever calculator you decide on, it MUST by handheld (NOT the calculator on your phone or chromebook).
- 3 Ring Binder (1 inch is perfect)
- Pencils
- Graph Paper
- Wired Headphones that can plug into your chromebook
- EXPO markers/ eraser
- Protractor/Compass/Ruler (the cheap plastic kind from the grocery store is perfect)
- Coloring supplies (colored pencils, crayons OR markers)
- Small Scissors, glue stick
- Highlighters and/or different colored pens
- Supply Box/Bag (this can be anything that will keep your supplies together so they are not floating
- around in your backpack)
- Tissue Box (to share with the class)
