Meet Your Health Center Care Team

Dr. Kristine Plotts, DNP, APRN-BC
Role at the Health Center: Nurse Practitioner
Education: The Ohio State University (BS in Nursing); Otterbein University (MS in Nursing); Ohio University (Doctor of Nursing Practice)
My favorite part of working in healthcare: I love being able to meet new people and help them achieve their health and wellness goals. I love nursing because I get to take care of people and have so many diverse opportunities.
I think school health is important because: Collaboration between schools and healthcare provide students with the best opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve. By being accessible in the schools, I hope to meet all of our students and learn how I can help them in their lives.
My advice for patients: Always keep your health, physical and mental, in focus. Diet, exercise, relaxation, and keeping a balance in your life every day will help you now and later.
When I'm not working: I do pottery for relaxation, and I lift weights. I also love spending time with my family and my dog Theo, as well as reading.

Catherine (Catey) Wohlford, APRN-CNP
Role at the Health Center: Nurse Practitioner
Education: Otterbein University (MS in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner certification)
My favorite part of working in healthcare: My favorite part of working in healthcare is watching kids grow and develop. I also enjoy educating new parents.
I think school health is important because: All kids should have access to healthcare and having the access to care at school is convenient for both the student and parent. Providing preventative care as well as acute care is essential in education of students and families in the importance of establishing healthy habits early.
My advice for patients: Don’t be scared of the office. We are here to help you.
When I'm not working: I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and three dogs. I also volunteer helping with my daughter’s marching band.

Chloe Davis, LPN
Role at the Health Center: Licensed Practical Nurse
Education: Mid-East Career and Technology Centers (CTC) - Zanesville
My favorite part of working in healthcare: My favorite part of working in healthcare is being there for patients in their most vulnerable moments, and showing them compassion.
I think school health is important because: I feel that all people deserve accessible health care to help maintain not only physical, but mental health as well as possible.
My advice for patients: Always listen to the intuition that your body gives you.
When I'm not working: I like to spend quality time with my family.

Natalie Workman
Role at the Health Center:  Physician Center Manager in the departments of Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Family Practice, and for the Health Center at Licking Heights.
My favorite part of working in healthcare: My favorite part about healthcare is building relationships with your patients and staff. I like establishing trust with the children and adolescents so they understand that you are there for them, and that we are their advocate for all needs.
I think school health is important because: School-based health centers help achieve equal healthcare for all children and adolescents, giving them access to various types of care in a convenient location that is invested in the success of students.
My advice for patients: Put yourself first when it comes to your healthcare, mentally or physically. If you are not in the right space, you cannot care for someone else to true capacity. Your self-health matters the most.
When I'm not working: My husband Ian and I have four children: Brock (17), Corbin (14), Kyndal (13), and Lorelei (10). I enjoy watching all activities/sports they are in. We also like to try out new restaurants anywhere we travel to. Our family is huge Cleveland Browns fans, too!

Patricia Anderson
Role at the Health Center: Physician Center Clerk
My favorite part of working in healthcare: My favorite part of working in healthcare is getting to meet new people.
I think school health is important because: I believe that students should have access to healthcare whenever they need to be treated.
My advice for patients: Like education, your physical and mental health also needs to be given importance.
When I'm not working: I like to read, play video games, and hang out with friends. But traveling is my favorite thing to do. I try to travel as much as I can, whether it’s to a new state, or to a new country. I absolutely love seeing new places, learning about different cultures, and trying different types of food.
