  2. User-friendly digital tools that connect families to student learning and experiences
Action Items for 2024-2025
Parents:
  1. Onboard parents in Talking Points through in-person sessions and online tutorials
  2. Establish and implement a district-level committee of key stakeholders
  3. Audit the apps required of or recommended to parents and investigate ways to reduce/merge apps
Staff:
  1. Onboard staff in Talking Points through in-person sessions and online tutorials
  2. Audit current internal staff communication needs and practices
Students: 
  1. Audit current practices related to student-focused communications

Indicators of Success: 
  1. Meaningful opportunities that connect parents and other stakeholders to student learning and experience
  2. Translation services and video content that ensure every voice is heard and valued  
Action Items for 2024-2025
  1. Update the current district family engagement plan
  2. Schedule three district-level community events  
  3. Provide staff professional development on culturally relevant strategies for family engagement
  4. Create a calendar of district and cultural community events to be shared with all stakeholders 
  5. Purchase equipment that facilitates the development of video content

  2. A spirit of service to the community

  1. Audit existing community partners and support networks to best connect students and families with necessary community resources
  2. Create and publicize an organized hub of existing community partners for easy reference
  3. Increase partnerships with local businesses to provide students with real-world learning opportunities and experiences
  4. Create a list of volunteer opportunities/partners as resources for students
