Caring For Our Students, At School and Beyond
We know that student support and development goes far beyond the school day. Over 85% of a child’s life is spent outside of school, and without a stable home life, students are not properly prepared to succeed in their education. Students need multiple avenues of support, including a strong family system. It is our pleasure to provide families with the necessary resources to thrive together, including:
—A school social work team connecting families to essential resources like food, shelter, and medical treatment and providing mental health support to students in need
—A Family Engagement and DEI Specialist specifically trained to work with new Americans, immigrants, and refugee families
—Community partnerships ranging from the local/county to state level that connect families to nutrition, housing, medical treatment, mental health and addiction services, and more
—Resources for homeless students and families
—A full-service School Health Center at the high school that is open th all students and their families. Please note that while this may not be a free clinic, it does accept both Medicare and Medicaid plans.
